Great photos

Good Job Nave.

Makes me miss my Dr Big a great deal. and makes me really want to get back on my bike and go for a "Shabat" spin.
I mostly ride the North as I live on a Kibbutz in the North but I really miss the Negev and "Midbar Yehuda" and envy you for your rides there.

Great pictures Nave, makes me want to go back for a visit! 20 years ago I stayed in your country for the best part of a year on a couple of Kibbutz, one near Petta tikva (Givat Hashlosha) & one on the coast (Nachsholim),sorry for the almost certain mispelling.I was amazed by the different climates and terrain for such a small country and your pictures illustrate that. Thanks for posting!

I live on Biet Oren and I ride an XT660Z.
I ride a lot with my wife behind me but I go off road mostly on gravel alone.
As I have been "blessed" with short legs I find the XT660z hard to handle off road if I need to put a foot on the ground.
This is the link to a small report I wrote last year : http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...t=drbig+israel

Hi Nave,
The Lord work in mysterious ways as my wife is also BAT YAGUR.
what is your wife's surname?
I used to live on Yagur for most of the 90's before we left.
As for the bikes, The Tenere is a much smoother and feels far more linear but to be honest I felt far more comfortable on the big. I also feel a lack of power when Anat is on the bike with me, But my wife enjoys the xt much more and longer rides are no hassle for her as they were on the BIG.
Last summer I overhauled the big with my old man and I knew the bike to the last piece but now I have a plastic feeling when I have to go to the dealer for services.
It would be great if we have a chance to meet.
Cheers Danni

Thanks! The real Israel is very different. when we ride our bikes we (usually) don't bump into anti tanks missiles...
We prefer...

by the way- my wife has a family in Alberta.
