So that's like when a pirate crashes himself to avoid a crash? Hmmmm....good idea.

My regular group I ride with was going too fast and it seemed like they were trying to turn a sunday ride into a Saddle sore 1000. SO this week I went with another group. Bunch O cruisers. I ride a BMW R1200R. The ONLY bike that was not a V. One ST1100 and one Honda Magna V4, the rest big V twins.

After I took them down the nicest road around here along a creek, we stopped for ice cream.

The guy on the Yamaha 1800 was looking at my bike and said it was small and had no frame. I agreed. He asked how much it weighed. I told him 494 lbs full of fuel. I told him I could not handle one of those big bikes, I am just a little sh*t.

Oh for F.S.

...

I wondered where that artillery picture / post ( http://advrider.com/forums/showpost....postcount=6796 above ) went to. I meant to put it in the "World of Tanks" thread ( http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...60178&page=727 ) since we were talking about tanks that were close enough to ride to.

Then I thought a moderator deleted it since it seemed to post, but then wasn't there.

Sorry guys

Funny how nobody questioned your lack of stupid question, eh?

It is unfortunate, but true, that typing is some folks' Zah-mah-ki-bo.

The banter I often get from gas station gawkers goes something like this:

Gawker: Hey it looks like you got a flat tire there man.

Me: No it isn't flat, it only looks that way because it's a car tire.

Gawker: Wow! really? (steps back and eyes my bike with a dubious look)

Me: Yes really. Works as well if not better than a scooter tire.

Gawker: Isn't that dangerous?

Me: Well no, I don't think it is. But if it is dangerous then your car there is 4 times as dangerous since it has 4 car tires on it. (me grinning, but knowing just how true that statement is.)

A car has at least 6 glass windows, so it is 6 times as dangerous as having a glass window at the end of a waterslide!!
Just as true.

This morning in the elevator, I'm carrying my jacket, helmet is in the bike but I still have my riding pants and boots on. Lady kind of chuckles, looks up and says "I thought you were wearing wading pants there for a second!"

This is my own fault.

My plate is D-AA46. I wanted AA on it, and the only number avaliable at the time was 46. So I took that. For fun, when I had my leathers made, I tweaked my old mix tape logo and put the AA46 on it and had that put on the back. Theft prevention, I figured.

Every freaking MotoGP fan in the world seems to want to talk about Rossi with me when I am wearing my kombi.

The other day on the way home from a short trip, I stopped for gas.

A fella at the next pump motioned to me. He asked me, "Is that suit air conditioned?"

I thought he was referring to the mesh construction, so I started telling him that it gets pretty good airflow and it's not too bad while I'm moving... but then he interrupts me and points at the Camelbak hose coming over my shoulder. "Is that hose for the air conditioning?"

Turns out the guy actually thought I had some sort of refrigeration unit on my back.

I thought he was joking around with me, but he was serious.
