^^^ I still gotta go with that's the wrong thing to do. If she's being an ass I would just refuse service versus maybe damaging her car.

Nope, I see absolutely nothing wrong with how this one played out.

Maybe that's what she wanted all along?

I was thinking the same thing. Husband's car maybe - or she just wanted it "broken" so she could get something new.

OTOH, I remember in the early 80's seeing a nice Audi 100 rattling like crazy and pouring white smoke out the tailpipe. Somebody put gas in a diesel.

A dipshit at work filled a nearly new ( I think about 10k miles) Dodge gasser with Diesel, made it 14 miles before one or more cylinders hydro-locked and the engine was toast. Complete stupidity isn't covered by warranties. He thought because it was a dually that meant that it was a diesel, never mind the sticker on the inside of the fuel door that says UNLEADED GASOLINE ONLY. Apparently driving it for about 200 miles previously wasn't enough let him know either. He doesn't work there anymore.

And then they piss black lube oil all over the driveway and garage floor. Friend had a 9 passenger Chev wagon with one of those miserable things in it. He called it the "Queen Mary".

On our dairy farm in PA when I was in high school (that's a long time ago, I think it was 1967 or so), it was about 2:00 AM and I heard our dog barking. Looked out and saw two guys and a sedan of some sort over by our gas pump. Got Dad up and he grabbed the rifle, looked out and started chuckling. The nuckleheads were filling up with diesel, not gas! They almost made it to the top of the hill, which is where we found the car the next morning....

My Dad has a similar story, he was losing gas out of the 5-gallon jugs in the barn. So he re-filled them with diesel, and within a week my sister's idiot boyfriend needed a new motor.

My total fav is when people are standing around looking at my bike, and ask if the single sided swingarm is custom. "Nope, it came that way from the factory."

Wow, when did Honda start doing that??

The scary part is, all three guys were carrying helmets... they were Gixxer riders.

(not MY bike, just a random pic- LOVE the white wheels!)

Considering Ive never ridden, or even considered buying, a sport bike and I dont watch racing....that doesnt strike me as all that dumb of a question. Ive never noticed whether or not they had single sided swingarms until you posted this pic.

The VFR is a single swing arm. That one is prettier than the one I had. I like those bikes. I didn't ride it enough to get asked stupid questions though. 2000 miles in 2.5 years.
