And another update ;)

Checked and cleaned the parts

I also mounted a new (used) front rack, because there was a weld broken at mine...

Then I build in the motor
There were a few little problems ...
The srew from the oil line in the front of the engine knocked against the frame and therefore I could get it in the right position.
But after some filing this wasnīt a problem any more ^^

All pipes are built on, coolant and engine oil is in...
Vacuum connection for the fuel pump and temperature switch for the warning light are also fitted.

Filling and venting the clutch

Built on some parts

This is how it acutally looks...

Installed a new jet needle

The next thing I want to do is buying an Akrapovic full exhaust system
I also noticed that the Magura clutch armature doenīt fit with the old light / indicator switch - Iīm going to buy a CEV switch, which is a lot smaller...

You are doing what I want but the 660 wasnt sold here in numbers so I am buildin a 660 from parts.. I had a question do you know why they used a different stator setup on the 660 sm and did the cdi plug match up?? and Im dying to know if that front oil line you grinded has a jet inside or just a threaded hole near the bearing?? and finally one of the oil pumps look unavaible in the US pn .. 585380070000 Oil pump mikuni 185 660 99. is it avail in europe??

looks great .. dont forget the new shock and fork oil !!!

I donīt know why they used another stator setup... Iīd like to use the Kokusan from the old adenture engine, but it wonīt fit
The crankshaft is a bit different ...

The front oil line ends in a jet inside which lubricates the piston pin.

I checked the part number (yours has one "0" to much at the end) - itīs available here in Germany for about 75 Euros

Additional fuel filter....just what I heard:

Filters for diesel engines are a better choice because at more than half throttle gasoline filters don't have enough flow.....

Can anyone can confirm this??

@kartman: sweet engine, get some usd forks....

those 50s are some of the best forks ever made... also less chance of leaky seals..
