1958 was the first year for "Duo-Glide" (rear suspension) 1957 was the one and only year for "straight-leg" rigid frame... Panheads before that had "wishbone" rigid frame. If by nothing else, you can identify the rigid frame by the angle of rear crash bars. Straight-leg and Wishbone refers to the front frame downtubes...
