Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Their throttle is an on/off switch for jumping forward or backwards 20' (7 meters) almost instantly at almost any speed (except for at top-rpm or the very bottom portion of the rpm, which you don't use on that type of engine).

Long-stroke always means a very wide and flat torque curve and also means a lower top rpm. Only a short stroke engine can hit high rpms, but they have almost no low-end torque. Did you know that a big cruise ship engine typically operates around 10 or 15 RPM and has less than 60 rpm at full speed? It's actually much more about piston speed, typically measured in feet-per-second, long stroke travels farther per RPM. Like a long crowbar vs. a short crowbar.

Great repost.

Gotta love the ones that folks find worthy of tossing on their own hard drive.

I know the rider, he's alive and well. And being the safety minded individual that he is ,showed us all that dragging a knee on the Dragon doesn't require breaking the 30mph speed limit. Worthless yes but after all what is the Gap for but mugging to the photographers.

Met a guy in a campground in the NC mountains, that's exactly the way he packed his tent. He left everything in it and rolled it up. He did spent a little more time making it a little tighter wrap. Really, when you are camping day after day it makes a lot of sense. throw it on the ground and add poles... your done!

I never plan a ride, just the destination and that's always subject to change.

You're kidding, right? I can pack my tent in probably 5 minutes. Why the hell would I ever want that monstrosity flapping in the breeze behind me?

Wheelies in every gear at any speed? I like the Monsters but this is as big a stretch as I've heard since highschool when guys used to say their basically stock street cars with glasspacks on them could pull the front wheels off the ground.
