The panhandle is kinda hilly, (then again, it's closer to being southern alabama then florida).

FL big?

Montana is "big"... Texas is "big"... And then there is Alaska.

Alaska told Texas to stop bragging or they would cut their state in half and make Texas the 3rd largest state.

832 miles from Pensacola to Key west is not a short distance. We just look small 'cause we are "small boned."

Tru dat. That's why I tend to avoid that part and stick around my area in the "hills" of Florida. We have two hilly areas in peninsular Florida, one is from about Leesburg south southeast to Frostproof (passing through Lake Wales :) ) called "The Ridge" and one is up north northeast of Tampa about between Dade CIty and Booksville—much nicer than the cane fields down south, IMO.

Cheers,

Mike, Florida "Hill"billy

I'm working on a 4-day trip from Augusta, Georgia over next year's Independence Day weekend. I was considering going to Key West until I discovered that going home to Ohio would be almost 200 miles closer.

Ah, I always wondered why people from Florida put such large tires on their cars.

Nah, it so the gators can't reach in and bite their feet when they open the car door.

Actually it is only 500 miles if you go in a straight line. See, in Texas you can ride 800 miles in a straight line. You don't have to curve around in a big arc to make 800 miles within the state.

If you can make it in 500 on a street bike, then you are a better rider then I am.
