OTOH, his Airbag T-shirt deployed and saved a lot of injury ('cept for his elbows). He bounced pretty well...

It's the only way to be sure you protect those vital organs, and simultaneously strangle them.

You wouldn't (or you might) believe the shit that's coming to light about even light or medium head trauma.

People think because they're not leaking cerebro-spinal fluid that they're fine. Just road rash. People that don't wear a lid are fucking crazy or ignant, or both.

That guy probably saved himself a lifelong brain injury that day by wearing a helmet.

The great thing about traumatic brain injuries is that you don't remember them.

Helmets!

I've been a helmet advocate since the 70's. I even wore a Bell Biker bicycle helmet when I rode my bicycle. I did get a lot of people pointing at me and snickering though as I rode by...
It only takes a second and you can have your life changed instantly, please be careful.

Read about how Jim Clark, of GP fame, died. Crashed his car in a race, seemed OK, died that night.

++++1

How about this: Liam Neesons wife died falling on snow on a beginners slope!! Head injuries are deadly!!
Actress 'seemed all right'

On Monday afternoon, Richardson was taking a lesson on a beginner's slope at Quebec's Mont Tremblant ski resort, north of Montreal.
The actress, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered what initially appeared to be a benign fall, not hitting anyone or anything else, according to the resort.
"She showed no injuries," Mont Tremblant spokeswoman Lyne Lortie told CBC News on Tuesday. "She was talking. She seemed all right. But [the ski patrol] have to follow strict procedures, so they brought her back to the bottom of the slope."
