True, but bikes do it out of carelessness or stupidity, semis do it out of necessity... and stupidity for even being on that road.

IIRC, the TN side does have numerous warnings for truckers to turn around. Problem is that 99.99% will ignore the signs and once they get on the dragon there is no turning around.

There is one (1) sign, and it's just past Foothills Pkwy. a/k/a beyond the point of no return.

But, all that aside. We all seem to forget that it is an actual U.S. Highway, and all in all about 600 miles in length.

I'd bet any trucker who has done it, wish they didn't and will never return.

Yep, too bad they have one of the highest turnover rates of any industry.

Charley Boorman is riding the Dragon today, so lets hope he doesn't get a ticket, cross the center line, find a truck in his lane, or have someone showing their a$$ to Killboy right in front of him!

Nothing would be funnier than Killboy catching him with a major fail (or a massive convoy of support vehicles following him)

I know I'm not the only one getting tired of seeing photos of this, as well as in person. I mean, honestly, how long does it take for a 53-footer to get through there, if successful? It can't possibly be a timesaver.

Just find an email and send them that picture explaining where it was taken...
