A technically correct answer to that is "Yes".

Same as the answer to "Do you have the time?"

Of course he can, but will he tell you?

How is this positive? And what "sport"? He isn't racing, he is riding down a twisty highway.

Well he has fame, he rides well, appears to have an open mind, and is portraying adventure travel across the globe in a positive light to a very wide viewing audience. As for terminology motorcycling is indeed a sport in many ways, perhaps less so on the street, but certainly meets the definition in terms of this thread.

As for riding the dragon, I think it meets the definition of sport...especially considering your part of the audience. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport

Safe journeys...

Yeah, and now The Dragon is going to get overrun by more squirrels who saw his show and wanna be.

Feh.

Which is what ruined Deals Gap when Rider Magazine publicized it.

It was much better riding in the late 70's when only a few of us knew and rode to it.

Hell much fewer of us riding at all back then.

Bill,
Kinda late to worry about that. You been up there lately on a sunny day?
Take a number.

I know, that rant is like trying to sweep the ocean back. But I'm a curmudgeon-in-training (a CIT) so I'm compelled to grumble.

Take a number, get in the parade.

I rode it a few times, but not anymore, too frustrating. I am glad it is so popular, as it keeps all those off the better roads in the area.

I 've ridden it 3 times during weekdays and there wasn't more than 10 or 15 other vehicles on the road with us,in the mornings there was no one . Stay away from Fri-Sun and its still a blast. Shit, now I guess I fucked that up.

Those squirrels seem to provide lots of entertainment in this thread, do they not?

I have rode the dragon a few times, all during the week, and it was not too bad. Great road but there are just too many other good roads and sights to see to stay in one location, IMHO.
