i have a friend that rode that area, and has ridden with me in Europe and he agrees it is a great area, and some of the roads do rival some in Europe. I hope to join him in a year or two and ride the area.

Although quality might rival, quantity is at a deficit for sure, but as others mentioned, getting there is easier.

How the f**k can you make the comparison if you've never been there?

I HAVE been to the area North of San Francisco and West of I-5. It's pretty good (better than a lot of vaunted roads in the Eastern US IMO,) but it's not as good as the best in the Rockies, it doesn't rival the better parts of Europe, and its not even close to the Alps.

Am I the only one who is confused at how we got on the topic of "my roads are cooler than your roads"?

This has a slight scent of "my dad can beat up your dad".

I think we should get back to posting pictures of folks doing dumb shit in the Gap.

Come on, these guys are just proving that you don't need to be photographed in the Gap to show dumb shit behavior.

But do they speak American in the Alps?

No, they don't.

I think she is just posing for a photo. Probably thinking something like, "Look at me and how cool I AM. I am on a Harley."

No, thankfully, they do not speak "American". However, in nearly all the countries, they make a good effort to communicate in English.
