about truck on twisty roads

1-most truck to bike/car crashes are NOT at the front of the truck"head on type"which means the car/bike drove past the cab into the corner!

2-any warning you can get is good if not ignored!

3-i escorted 54 trucks through in 2006,not one fender bender!!

4-now I had a big yellow bike,a c/b radio, and good flashers,i would get a few corners ahead and stop"near the center line in the center of a short strait and stop bikes/cars if possible, wait till truck was in sight and move on to repeat again down the road.
never be close to the center line in corners

now how to be safer if there is no escort

if you are coming up to a right turn and a truck is coming at you his cab will be in his lane but the trailer will most likely be in yours!!as soon as you see the cab pull far right and stop, with flashers on,,best to get stopped before the corner!!!!!!do not try to keep going!!!!

if you are coming to a left turn and the truck is coming at you his cab will be in your lane which makes the choice on stopping a bit easier to make, lol

remember most crashes with long trucks happen because the car/bike drives under the trailer, every truck I have escorted at the gap was going less than 20 mph in the corners!!

this post is not ment to say trucks should be there or not just ways to make us safer

Killed Willie Nelson twice?
Where do you get them scalps? I need some for my Injun. Ebay? I don't want to kill a hippie or a Pirate to get one.

How does that make anyone a badass? I'm a vet from that era, and don't feel any sense of entitlement or bad assness. It's what the men in my family did.

As most of the responses to that video say, the camera guy was much more offensive than the terrible rider in front.

In my book, being a veteran means you are... a veteran, not a badass. I know lots of veterans. Some of them are real tough guys but they don't carry whips about with them :ymca Anyhow, he doesn't look like a badass, he's actually smiling. I just think the gun and the whip are more than a bit silly.

Being color co-ordinated is ok if it's part of your MCC 'uniform' I guess.

I never understood the point of a bunch of grown men dressing up in matching clothes to be part of a "club." Makes no sense.

Sent from the voices in my head and transcribed by their drinking buddy...
