Could he lean over more? Possibly, but with a much increased amunt of time to get back up.

He gave up certain abilities when he chose a bike with such forward controls, although it does seem he gained some footpeg clearance vs. other cruisers.
Looks like he gave up and/or fell to target fixation. Maybe he just did not know how to wrangle his ride. I totally disagree with the above summation. He could have done a lot more to reduce the bike lean. Both knees and elbows are doing nothing to help him save it. The inside elbow could have been dropped and the right elbow could be tucked against his ribs. His arse could move way over to the inside and drop that darn inside knee. Then push the heck on the left grip and give the throttle some juice. It can be a test of nerves to push a dual sport that hard with dualsport tires. My Shinko 244 rear tire has amazed me on asphalt. It's better than I am. BTW any word on how the rider faired. I have never bit it that hard.

Doesn't really look all that bad, he just lost the rear, probably from running out of lean. Maybe some butt scrapes, he's wearing what looks like ACU's. Oh, and a bruised ego...

Some knobbies are surprisingly soft and sticky on pavement, they just wear out in no time.

NC and TN are both open carry states, with a valid CWP.

But I have to question the utility of a mares leg over a handgun.
I also have to point out the hassels of having it on your bike instead of on your person, for several reasons.

Dude obviously thinks he's one bad mofo, between the Rossi, the tats and the pirate whip.

I own a DR650.

How, in the name of god, are you implying that dual sports are forward controls? They are probably one of the most neutral footpeg positions of current bikes.

I don't mean to insult your intelligence here (you did fine with that), but I've owned sport bikes, one feet-forward cruiser, and dual sports. Whatever you're implying, it isn't working in your favor, lol

You were having a different conversation, I was still on the XR dude that crashed and thought you were on that.
I was on my phone and missed a couple steps in the progression...

Good luck with you escorts! When you get mowed down so a Z from Florida doesn't hit a truck coming up behind you, feel really good about the speech someone gives you at the funeral on how you saved a life whilst sacrificing you own.
