Yeah, 40,000 miles of tread life is wonderful..cost effective..wait, I can't think of anything else to justify the choice.
Hmmm, a little over 300K on a Darkside tire, or tires, and no crash and burn "yet". The tire in the pic has a lot more rubber on the ground than most MC tires ever do and it seems to be a bit overinflated. Hard to say not knowing the brand and make up.

For the Moto GP comment, well you may think you are all that and a bag of chips, but you don't ride a 300+ KPH MC that is stripped down for racing. You probably outweigh a racer by quite a bit, and get no where near the stresses they put on those shoes. Oh and the tires you buy in the MC shops, they aren't anything close to the tires those guys run, and wear out in one race, other than resemblance by shape.

Don't knock it unless you have walked in teh shoes and take the time to figure out what does and doesn't work. If you have and don't care for it, no problem.

One Match...damn

Darksider's catch fire easy, who knew>?? (Not Me).

Maybe I will try one on my UltraClassic, is it heavy enough to benefit from one? (off to read the "Darkside" forums)

To me the Skyway is far more dangerous than the Dragon if for no other reason the speeds.

Can the yellow lines and guns be far behind?

I spent to much time on this forum over the winter and when I went to the dragon in mid August all I could think about was all the pics I had seen of numpteys doing stupid shit, and I couldn't wait to just get off the road.

I did 2 runs and that was it. Totally lost its appeal for me. To much carrying on for the photogs and not enough attention being paid to the road itself.

No one picked out my picture. I even have a ADV decal on my bag and surely there's plenty of fail to keep you all amused for several days....

Ya gotta cross the double yellow. I spent a whole morning trying to get the perfect over-the-yellow shot. I couldn't get the timing right on any of my passes.

See, that's the thing. Everyone has ridden on a squared-off rear tire. The handling sucks ass.

It would be one thing if the darksiders said, "Yeah, the handling sucks ass, but I'm using it on a cross-country trip so it will save me a few bucks." But they don't. They try to convince people that the bike handles fine. Which just makes them look stupid and incompetent.

darksiders are like gunners, they won't stop.

a few pages back there was a very logical explanation why not to use a car tire on a motor cycle rim. because they don't fit properly, and then talk about safety of a run flat tire, mount first a tire that fits.
second main thing, contact patch is not what it is about, put a brick on the ground with the large area and then put it on its side with the small area, the amount of force to be used to move the brick is the same. nothing to do with contact patch.
all that yelling about do your homework, grow up. use arguments that stick.

all darksiders live in the free part of the world, feel free to use them but stop trying to spread the word with arguments that are just plain nonsense.

it is obivious that you can ride a car tire under a bike, to much jpegs on the internet to show it is possible for that instant moment taken. seen that i think, and get me on that point, that all those heavy powerfull bikes won't do 130mph and more and dragging hard parts on the ground while cornering. just guessing and asking because the oem bike is capable of that.

If it did, some heavy psychotics were used.

Use the caps button. Yes you can.

Each sentence is different than the one before. Also learn about paragraphs and become more literate. It's free.
