That local would be upset to hear he was dead!! He was hurt badly but still alive and mostly recovered.. Speed was also a factor.

For more info on the rider who hit the vette.. he had bought the bike less than 3 weeks prior in Louisiana, decided it was a good idea to go to the mountains on his fist bike, and had been offroad and fallen over earlier that day..

Actually there are versions that start a little sooner and the guy looks over and waves at the Camera, so no oil was involved. Don't know how badly he was hurt though.
