Did Something get deleted? I don't see any cheering.

It looked like he just pivoted his rear tire right off the road. I am guessing it is a pre-'09' Ultra Classic. The newer ones have more lean angle available.

Jackets and gloves would have saved them a lot of agony.

i bet a lot of them have not ridden anything as twisty as that road.

i also bet that they go faster than they usually do because they are all hyped up about riding a famous road...and they know people are watching, so they push it more than they usually do.

and then there is also just the law of large numbers. so many people ride that road that, even if crashes occur at the same rate (per rider) as other roads, there will be a lot more crashes than on other roads.

That's right. We just don't see (on this thread) the pics of literally THOUSANDS of Harleys that ride that road every year without incident.
As we say in newspapers, nobody rushes out to the airport to take a look every time a plane lands safely...

some Harley riders?

Could it be that this is the first time that they went around some aggressive curves and learned what the word "limitations" meant?

Maybe they didn't realized that having their old lady on the back would also reduce their ground clearance? I would definitely say crashing reduced their relationship.

Could be said about other riders as well.

I suspect she's about a tenth of a second from smacking the side of her head down on the asphalt.
That helmet doesn't look like it's going to keep the skin on her cheekbone.

If you have to learn the hard way, do it on film so someone else might not have to.

With any luck, they were at pirate-parade speed.

Maybe Red Bagger was leaning in the same way, which would make you run out of (limited) ground clearance very quickly.

As Dakez said, jacket and gloves would have saved them quite some misery; The lady from ground-up arms, the dude from being bitched at by the lady for the next 3 weeks.

She must be OK, as they are all looking at the bike and not at her. I bet that bike is 'lowered.'
Now she can get that I'm with stupid T-shirt. Mr. Dork has got his priorities all screwed up!
