Well that's the thing. I've never said a bike with a wide tire or a car tire CAN'T turn, but it's little like a guy saying he can lean over really far without countersteering, therefore it isn't necessary or is a myth. It's not how FAR you can lean with a wide tire, car tire or without countersteering, it's how QUICKLY you can establish the initial lean to inituiate turning.
At higher speeds on a heavier bike, you pretty much HAVE TO countersteer to make a quick turning maneuver, and a wide tire or car tire will impeded QUICK establishment of initial lean.

Even a wider size of conventional bike tire can have a noticeable effect on turn-in, so the guys who claim they turn "just fine" with a car tire because they can turn at XYZ degrees lean angle are missing the point (and the boat). I understand the rationale for a car tire for someone who rides hours of straight slab, just like I udnerstand the rationale for a long swingarm and superwide tire for someone who wants a drag bike, just don't claim these have no effect on turn-in.

Holy crap, I'm not sure who is worse, the car tire people or the anti car tire people. Let it go, nobody is making you run a car tire on your bike, and nobody is making them run a motorcycle tire on their bike.
