Picked up my postie last night.

1998 model, needs some work. Looking forward to stripping it all down and giving it a good once over. I have some rather big (read: funny) plans for this beast. I need to find a manual so I can give the engine an overhaul, apparently there is something wrong in the cam chain department.

Picked up my parts bike today, Thanks Hunsta

(sorry about the dodgy phone pics)

Gotta get stuck into the engine on the good one now and get the beast going.

The past owner doesn't really know what was wrong with it, he was just told there was "Something wrong with the cam chain and the countershaft something or other......."

Anyone got any ideas on what I should do?

Hope it works out well for ya mate. I had too many projects to get around to a postie rebuild. When it comes time I think I`ll just buy one from the auctions

Yeah thanks for that one Sidtrack

I am wondering whether it is something that I can do or maybe just bring the "box-o-engine" to my moto mechanic and say "Fix".

For that matter, just wheeling the whole bike down there and tell him to get it running and riding.

This is Jodie, she's an 89 model with the retro speedo and the cdi pickup in the head, you can adjust your ignition timing with these old girls and get the most out of premium unleaded.
27000km's this was in Tassie near great lake

Is anyone planning on going to the 30 April Pickles auction at Milperra?

Yeah, One Ten has pretty much everything you could ever need for a postie hey!

Work starts on my beast on the weekend. Start to strip it down and clean it up!

Yeeehhaaaa!!!!!

Going to pick up my MINT 2006 model this weekend!

Thinking about maybe keeping the other posties if they don't sell too soon (they are in the flea market at the moment)
