tanks

I know the xr250 is the tank for the postie, but are there any others? The Xrs are getting a little thin on the ground.

I was intending to go to the wreckers and pick any one that looks like it fits

Well, the bike is almost ready for a decent trip. Moved ignition, XR250 tank all fitted up. Wolfman tank bag, rear racks made for panniers and all fitted up. Just need a decent set of tyres and tubes, a decent service then off I go!!

XR tank and tank bag.

About an hour of bending and welding produced this bad boy.

R-Jays pannier bags all mounted up.

The rig, ready to hit the desert.

About 400 bux for an "incomplete" one, since yours will only need the rear wheel and no front-end

I went to the auctions a couple of weeks ago. After fees, I paid $1150. They all went for around that plus or minus $100.

I had to take it for a roadworthy, identity check, rego and mirrors so add another $300 on that

Postie Build

Just starting a postie build up for a desert trip, thought I'd try and post some pics and maybe ask some questions. First one being about flat tyres and maybe the need for rim locks? What is your experance?
