Poll-o-rama

Ok, to clear up the current NA Tag issue, we'll put it to a vote as several members have suggested.. I'll let the poll run for 72 hours, then I'll amend the rules as necessary

if the rule in changed to reflect requirement of chicken choking, I suggest that a time limit be placed for how long an inmate can choke the chicken before they have to post their chicken choking picture.

Something like if the chicken choking photo is not posted with 24 hours from a non-chicken choking grab photo, the tag goes to the inmate without the mascot. That allows enough time for a relaxed ride to a posting location, but does not slow the game down drastically in the event that an outsider is choking our chicken.

I am for whomever holds the cache has the grab. Especially since sometimes people may be riding long distances to make these grabs, and this way they won't have to speed home to post the pics.....unless they want to of course!

I think the race to the post is just as important as finding the tag, for the local games.

As far as the National Game, I think it is more important the blockhead, chicken, or whatever's next, is the basis for getting the tag. I think it sucks if someone gets the tag and then hops on I-80, 40, 20, or whatever to move it a couple hundred miles to show us another cool place and get more people involved only to find out someone took a picture later and posted it first.

This game has a different point than the state games. There are a lot more opportunities to play in the state games and show local color. There may be more obscure clues that might require more research, and I think that's an important part of the game. AFAIC, the North American TOR should be more about miles and participation.

If you can't find the mascot, assume you've been Bruced.

As far as time is concerned, since (if) there is a mascot involved I think it should be 48 hours from got to tag. It'll give some time for riding, planning, rest and repairs (if need be).

OK, I do like the token part of the game and would like to see it go on... But the rider will need to remember, even if you do not find the token there, you should get your shot and maybe even post it. If the token is lost to a non player or somebody who just wants to hold onto it, for some reason, the other players need to be ready to pick the game back up and keep it running.

So anyway, I do say yes to the token (mascot) and yes to a time limit to post the token picture and 24 hours should be enough time in most cases, but we could go with 36 to split the diference if need be.

Just my thought on the subject as one who has been Bruced, but not gotten it yet...

I think 24 hours is sufficient time to clame the tag, but I can leave that up to everyone else too.. It's not difficult to locate internet while playing tag, even while you're traveling.. However, take as long as you want to post up the new tag (within reason), so long as the distance the tag is moved is proportional to the time it takes to get the new tag up.

Or, assume it's behind a gate you can't get through. Or, an animal has picked it up. Or it was tossed in the trash.

How about this: Every time the "token" is separated from the photo tag, that token becomes a separate tag, which can move around the country on its own?

Eventually, the NA/ToR tokens might become so numerous as to become a notable addition to the Pacific Trash Vortex.

I agree there should be a time limit on chicken choking

The rule should state that any chicken choking in excess of 5 minutes is a automatic fowl...

Chicken is fun, but let's keep it simple. First to post gets the tag. No confusion about the grab if wild animals or small children make off with the chicken.
