Not exactly. First car I ever bought (Soph in HS) was a 1957 100/6. Cost me $200, and worth every penny!

They've always been just out of my price range.
I can recall seeing a 3000- looked like it was in nice condition- in the late 80's for under $15k (maybe even a hair under $10k)

Woulda shoulda...

Oh hell, who am I kidding, it would have been deystroyed and I would have been walking.

Well you're right about that.

But at least I didn't buy it off the showroom floor. It was ~9 years old when I got it.

Sold it a year later for twice what I had paid, and bought my first Morgan +4. Now that was a cool car!

Not shiny, but British. These I actually owned, hmm, maybe I shouldn't admit that.

Both of these are gone as well as a 1958 Magnette, two MGBs a 1955 Rover P4 90 and the 1966 Rover 2000TC. Just this one left and I may be putting it up for sale as well.

It's a pretty good runner.

Saw one of these today northwest of Chicago. An MGR V8 -- 4.9L Rover V8, right hand drive -- very nice!
