Ahhh, Baytown.

I know, I know. Why would you pick Baytown for a tag Tman?

Well, I grew up across the bridge, in LaPorte and later when I was a young man I lived there for 10 years. Very cheap rent!

Baytown had 3 names and with the surrounding areas, many more names started popping up. Baytown, Pelly, Goose Creek, Wooster and Brownwood.

Across the creek there is still an active oil field. When I was young, my folks would load up the dirt bikes and we would go riding out there. It is also, one of the filming locations of a John Wayne movie, "Hellfighters" based on Red Adair.

I have great memories of those oil fields, but you really can't get back there anymore. Plus they built a golf course on the back side.

It was a good bonus, finding out they built ships for the CSA navy.

Baytown is a great town full of history.

Go explore it sometime.

Jean Lafitte would have made the trip from the island to Eagle Point to enjoy this grog.

Too bad I couldn't get the pics to post. I grabbed it yesterday morning and took it quite a ways up north. I told myself if I couldn't post the pics at least I had a great ride. Oh well....back to lurking..

Hey , not trying to hi jack , but I had fits trying to post a pic in the reply using the "add attachments" button . Never got anywhere with that. I have always used a photo host to post pics , they always work great doing it that way . Just passing on my experience since being on this board . This game is addictive , we have two tags going in MS. , one is a local three county game and the other is the state game . Y'all keep em straight down there now ya hear .

No, they don't. What they need...... is to get on the motorcycle and ride out there.

Looks like a cool tag, I would like to take the tour.

Is that crappy titty bar still out there? We got thrown out for "sitting in the back and not paying attention to the girls"

What is the best way to light a fire under someone's seat to go get this tag? The weather couldn't be better, riding is great.

I would give it a shot if it would ever dry up. It's supposed to rain every day this week.
