Shouldn't even take serious photoshop skillz.

If it were winter I think this tag would have been snapped up by now.

This week the forcast highs are in the 80's. It's the perfect time for all you delicate souls to venture into the wild beyond.

Btw, this area is generally cooler than downstate in the summer with lower humidity levels too.

Hmmmm, doing the math? If I leave at 0 dark thirty, could I get there and back before the temps got above OMG it's frikkin hot? btw, the high temp forecast for the next few days is only 90* in Quitaque....

Probably not, but I'd sure like to try. If I didn't have all three grandsons this weekend, I'd take a shot at it on Sunday morning.......

It's a beautiful place.....

Wow, you live that close? And thanks for the pics, California, way too many TEXANS don't have a clue about the beautiful areas we have in TX. Riding enduros all over the state for 40 years has taken me to hidden places of pure awesomeness.

Yes. Houston. If that counts as close lol. Labor day I might be able to move it. Big might work depending. And I agree, too many Texans think everything is just flat and boring. The Alpine area is my favorite stretch of road so far

If your ever in the area eat at the Reata!

I second the Alpine/Reata recommendation. I'm in the Alpine/Fort Davis area right now and just had dinner there this evening! Unfortunately, I'm here this week on business, and I don't have my bike. It was painful to go through the Ft. Davis Mountains today in my rental cage. I had no idea this area was so scenic. It's my first time out this far west, and already I'm scheming on how to get back out here soon on two wheels.
