Aussie grass track are natural terrain no bull dozers, bobocats tractors to cut in the course , basicly , get a padock and peg out the track , as you can see the track was placed ona a rolling valley steeper then it looks , with 1 ,four foot drop off, ( second pic right of center )

Pete , Na crap day still getting over swine flu ,lungs felt like i was breathing acid ,
and crappy rear tyre

That track looks like awesome good fun. Better than the supercross silliness we have here in the states.

Good stuff, Mudguts. I can see where you wouldn't want a 606 in that stuff. My experience with that tire is that it steps out unpredictably with little warning or feel. I couldn't get mine off fast enough. Sweet bike, btw!

Always good to see this bike in action. What tire pressure did you use?

Grass track/natural terrain special test tracks are the most fun...

"Old man" MX at it's best! None of those man made plateau jumps killer doubles or quads jumps etc. just smooth flowing turns and off cambers, with the natural berms and whoops that develop during the course of a days racing! Good one Mudders!

Anyone who can tell me what happened to the old "Thumper nationals" series in Oz...? Went the way of the "dodo bird" when 4 strokes went mainstream in motocross circles...? or what?

I don't like jumps I'm scared of heights , the Nat's was really for the big bore thumpers
like the NOW old XR600-630 ballards bikes the odd ,YZ400f but heap of husky 610's
I race the 2001 thumps nat at wonthaggi , that when i reliased I was real slow , those were the days , aaaahh ,

I have another race at barrbool in August , I'll take the helmet cam down , the photo does not do it justice on how steep and off camber it was
