'98 KDX 220 Stolen in Tallahassee FL Reward

My tagged KDX was stolen from my garage Saturday night 4/25/09 around 8:20p EST
I'm offering $500 reward for info leading to the recovery and/or arrest of the scumbag that did this. If you see parts on eBay from my area that get this thief caught there will be some money it it for you too. Shaun 850-228-1812
If it's ok to cross post this for more exposure I'd thank a mod to do that for me

WTF! I don't get it. Some asshole walked right in your garage & rode off without anybody seeing? Sounds like you need to keep your snakes in the garage. Best of luck finding your scoot & the scum that took her.

Sorry to hear it!

For those not into KDX's this one should be easy to spot. The graphics and seat cover are "flo" green - much brighter than oem (note how they don't match the frame which still has the oem paint). The black fenders are also non-standard and the rear fender is a mx style fender where as the stocker dips down more at the rear.

I'll keep any eye out in Boston and DC and south FL (a little).

Thanks Fellas! I really hope to find this thing intact as y'all well know a plated 2smoke is not the easiest thing to come by. I'd have no idea where to begin to replace it with something comperable. KTM300? Juiced up KLX250s? Another plated KDX would be perfect, but how many of those are around? I might have to do a dual sport and a 2-smoke to trailer.... that would limit me to the ORV area....

That blows ! I would be mighty bummed if someone stole my 220 and it's not even plated.

I will keep an eye on Tampa craiglist for you.

Well sonofabitch. What kinda sorry piece of shit does such a thing. Probably dont even know how to ride a 2stroke. Maybe theyll wrap their face around a tree, if we're lucky - and not your bike. Good luck on it, and if you find the dipshits that took it, youve got friends here thatll help ya hide the bodies.

Dammit and here I was hoping I could get Buzztail to eventually sell me this bike! I rode it for a bit around ANF and became a true believer. What a sweet woods machine, and what a heartache to have it stolen...

A word to all the rat-bastard bike thieves--karma's a bitch!

Some of you folks know already, and some don't. On top of the KDX being stolen on Saturday- My Grandfather passed away on Monday morning. He was in hospice care in GA and that was for the most part my reason for traveling up there so many times in the past months. I got the call from my uncle while on the way home from my Insurance agent. I really didn't need to call back to know what had happened. I'm going to remember my grandfather in a way that he'd have liked- camping this weekend somewhere around a fire, and in the great out doors.
If the Kawi is not found I'll rock the XT for a bit and see what turns up.
Inept is right Karma is no doubt a bitch, but if I find the scumbag that did this I'm going to make Karma shit herself.
