Selling my treasure.
Nice bike, rides wonderfully.
Truly one of a kind.
Just in time for Bearded Lady

This is a 1986 Moto Guzzi V65 TT. There were 25 imported to North America. Tons of fun and rides awesome.

pic of shock

Give me again some more time and I will post them. I off on vacation and i have still to complete the front end of the prototype. The frame of the monoshcok is a completely different frame from the tts or NTXs. It is a square tube frame with cross tubes welded at a different points. Since I also got an ntx, I took pics of the frames side to side. Of course you could modify your bike as everything is possible but the pics will only work as an approximate reference as the 2 bikes are different frame wise.
Cheers

Hay there Frankenbeemer
Isn't Chris Solo Lobo? Asking him for closer pics. ( as you before) since would like to convert my NTX to monoshock. More pics. easier to work on such project. Wonder why did guys in Mandello decided not to put mono on Baja TTC or Paris-Dakar 750 models if they allready got such solution ona some TT ? May be those BMW guys aren't aveare but solution that engine is a part of a frame asa somekind of spine is a Guzzi idea which was used later on by BMW in 1995 more then 10 years later.

v35TT prototype

Zupi,

I know I am late but I decided to build my own site. I got fedup of accessing sites where the pictures expire with time after you have spent few hours placing a story of a bike and how much sweat -money and work- to build it up. Therefore, I will do it on my site. I am thick so it took me few years to figure that out.
There is a little pic of the factory replica finally completed by me (2 weeks ago) hoping to have made justice to how the Mandellisti wanted it to be...
Soon I will post its story in more details. I know you are awaiting it...by the way nice site is yours...
Cheers

V65TT vs. V65NTX

There's a lot more differences between the TT & NTX than just the 32 litre tank; Both the rear shocks and forks are longer, the gearing is different, the NTX had the horrid Motoplatt invariably sparkless ignition, different headlamp, fairing, instruments, etc - and most NTXs had only a centre-stand, while the TT had only a sidestand.
The NTX's exhaust tucked in under the right cylinder, passed over a flattened section of the frame, melted the sidecover and set fire to a hole in the rear mudguard.
Also, the TT's engine is silver, while the NTX had factory-applied drop-off black paint so durable it was probably made from charcoal.
To get the big tank to sit on the TT's frame, you'd need to add the rear mounting tab to the frame, and find a way of attaching the fixed fairing's mount to the frame's headset.
My wife rides a TT - it's her daily ride from among her stable of four other bikes; I - briefly (but not briefly enough) - had an NTX. Notice I didn't say I rode one, because I never actually did: it broke down within 100 metres of coming off the trailer and 18 months and thousands of dollars later, I sold it, in pieces.
I just lost interest in trying to patch together a promising but flawed design that was badly executed at the outset and compromised by low-durability parts for which availbility has dropped and prices risen.
