Well I just got an order in from B--- B----- for some miscellaneous gear for the girls and a pair of gloves for me. Unfortunately Purple Dragon got to the box first and decided the gloves would be far more useful for her than they could ever be for me (they do fit her better anyway).

We did a little 40ish mile ride from Joplin - Webb City - Carthage - Avilla - Reeds - Sarcoxie - and back to Joplin via back roads.

Purple Dragon enjoyed the ventilation of her new gloves.

Well looks like we're about to pummeled by another storm. Time to batten down the hatches.

Wasn't as bad as last weekend. Looks like the sun will shine this afternoon and tomorrow. Once the mowing is done, I'm off for a ride woohoo!

I live in the KC area but I grew up in Miller, MO. I still get down there every once in a while to visit family in Mt Vernon, MO. We are planing on moving back one of these days.

Weather Report for week of May 18.....

EXCELLENT!!

Get out & Ride!!

BTW, I almost T-boned a guy in a truck who pulled out in front of me Friday night.

His eyes bugged out of his head when I hit the 115Db air horn.

I hope we're not related. Most of my relations in Mt. Vernon are either: dead (drugs) or in jail (again drugs).

Wonder if an air horn would've hepled a buddy earlier today. Looks like a Semi making a right turn cut into his lane. To which he promptly drove under the semi's wheel.

Last update he just had a broken foot. The bike (Victory) has some issues.

I have a brother down there that used cause his fair share of trouble but he cleaned his act up a few years back.

Last weekend I spent a little time getting the bike ready to travel. I also pulled my tent out of the bag and set it up so it could air out a little.

Now all I need is a destination... LOL

Take the tent and head to Mountain View ARkansas. Free music on the square each Fri Sat and Sunday night. Too many good roads to count and food not bad either!!

Thumb Cooky's Cafe in Golden, MO

I'm in Kansas City (Overland Park) and enjoy my drive through SW MO to get to the Ozarks in NW AR.

A treat that you guys probably know about....if you don't...check it out...Cooky's Cafe in Golden City, MO is simply fantastic. Sat & Sun specials are delicious and they are famous for their pies. They have like 15 different kinds of pies all made there at Cooky's. Great stuff!

I've made a day ride out of going to eat there from Kansas City--it's that good.

Wife gave me this 3 day Memorial Day weekend "off", so I'm packing the tent on the Vstrom 650 and heading your way. I have no agenda or route yet, but maybe I'll check out that free music on the square in Mountain View, AR that JED mentioned. I'll take off from KC Fri eve or Sat morn and return Mon.

i also saw a pair of KLRs infront of the honeysuckle inn motel, i figgered they were posers, 'cause tru klr riders camp in people's yards instead of paying for motel rooms,

Speaking of stickers, where can you get some ADV stickers? Does someone here sell them or does everyone just make them up locally?
