While reading your latest adventures, my thoughts went to many many years ahead when you are much older, your youth is gone and you look back longingly on your youth and there is one thing nobody can take away from you that is the remembrance of a fantastic, adventurous, great trip done with the best friend you had at that time, named DOT.

Many of us readers are dreaming of such an adventure but are sticking with excuses why it is not possible, why it is to long, why we can not leave our jobs and then there is Nathan, he doesn't mind - just living his dream.

My exceptional respect for you...

Great choice of transportation. My family farm in Oregon has about 10 of these (not all running at once) to do the daily irrigation and what not. Your story and pictures are A+++++++. I look forward to hearing and seeing more. Keep up the amazing adventure ride for life.

Well me and Dot are dry again. We didn't have any luck at the British embassy; the woman came back with printed information on Iraq. i think she heard me wrong.

More postively my camera's fixed and Dot should be leaving next week.

I remembered that I'd shot a short video during the ride into Bangkok. For some reason the last half is missing so it's quite short. Just disappeared. And sorry about the obscured view and swearing. I was getting so wet I didn't give much thought to either. So apologies.

Nathan and Dot.

More great stuff, glad you are still going and having a good time as well.

I wanted to start my first ride report. It had everything , a grin on my face, a breakdown, rain, an epiphany and Macgyver moment, good food, and a happy ending. The only problem was that it was my first ride to work.... (on this particular bike) and your report makes it look like a drop in the bucket, ok half a drop.

Oh well, a toast to you and taking something that isn't supposed to get you that far and trying anyway....In freaking converse all stars, you are killing all the ATGATT members.

If you decide to push forward and go to Texas, let me know, I feel I owe you a steak.

Safe Ride Friend we'll be watching.

Mark.
That's a very valid point made about the bike fitting in. Travelling alone and being part of the scenery is what being a "traveller" is all about. And Nathan you've made that very distinquished group with your travels & travails. I salute you. Peace be with you.

Katmandu, these people will ask you here where that place is in the map or probably Africa. Surelly Fedex will tell you sorry and you go nowhere.
