It was a great weekend! I luckily missed out on the rain. Leaving Roanoke area Sat morning with some Twin Valley Riders, we stopped at The Swinging Bridge, Paint Bank where most stopped for breakfast.


But a few of us pressed on north on 311 to W. VA and took 92 north, then 84 over to US 220, and arrived at the farm in Blue Grass at about noon, just as the last of the rain was petering out.

After enjoying the Maple Dogs and wonderful meal from our generous hosts and helpers, we retired to the barn to listen to Harvey Reid

Afterwards, Gimme and I rode to Hightown, Monterrey then down the Marble Valley.




Great weekend for riding and awesome weather! Can't wait to do it again next year

WOW his Camp a roo has sure gotten Big !!!
From what it was years ago... Just us locals and a small few outsiders.
We lived 5 miles from Brian & Betty's place ..
On 637 .. Roger and Bernice where our neighbors...

Lived in The Blue Grass valley for 20+ yrs....

Beautiful place.

My mom & her husband lived there for a few years, and lived in the parsonage next to the Methodist church. I loved visiting. I wish they could've stayed there instead of moving on to the middle peninsula.
