Bike rentals?
Ack! I'm jammed for time so the 1,200-mile ride from my home to Ouray is looking tough.
Anyone know about renting a bike in Denver? Arizona? Las Vegas? Salt Lake? Trouble is, all I can find are Harleys and Buell Blasts.

Cruise America rents a fleet of Honda motorcycles, including XR650L's at some locations.
Edit: it looks like Cruise America now only rents Gold Wings??? You may want to call as there used to be VFR's, BLackbird's, ST's etc available.Check under the tab of "sporting units".

I was actually talking about this with someone today. I would love to make CO, but I can't spare the travel time from NJ to CO both ways. Work just isn't going to have it. Flying there and renting is a possibility, but I'm guessing most everything is full up by now anyway. Fsck it.
Still, if you find any good source of bikes, maybe post it? |

Just went through Ouray and Gunnison. I did see a motorcycle shop in Gunnison that looked mostly dirt friendly. Check in the yellow pages and give a call. Gunnison is just north of Ouray on highway 550. They even have an airport!!!

Great offer, Motozilla. Thanks!
I actually found a rental from Tourbikes.com (thanks, Jabba), so I'll be riding down from Denver on Friday morning, getting distracted by the sights along the way, returning Sunday. Got Ad-Mo tours to pick up the phone once but couldn't get an answer or return call. Only problem is, I ended up with a BMW 1200c -- the cruiser. Nachtflug is gonna be pretty uncomfortable riding bitch on the back of that. I'm gonna see about renting a dirt bike locally for Saturday. See ya'll there!
