Yeah I can think of lotsa worse-smelling things than cosmoline! I oughta come up with a line of men's fragrances, one of 'em would be Hoppes No. 9, another would be cosmo

I love the smell of cosmoline in the morning

Smells like........Victory

Yamaha did several iterations of the so-called "Genesis" head. They did it with the early FZRs (750s, 1000s) and later featured it with the R7s. My YZ250F and 400F both had 5 valve heads. The first R1s also had them. From what I've read though, I know that often made the intake valve chambers were TOO larger, along with the intake ports.

I think the motivation was to maximize the intake circuit with more air.

Aprilia Pegaso (Rotax 650 thumper) also used five valve heads. When Aprilia started building the carbed BMW F 650s on the Pegaso assembly line up through the 2000 MY, BMW develped their own four valve head to flatten the peak power and broaden the torque curve just a tad.

Good accurate info there mang! You'd make a great history teacher

You'd likely ace the history teacher certification exam without even studying for it
