Well it's not about pinion angle, it's about instant centers, vectors and such when it comes to race car suspension. :) But yes they aren't supposed to be parallel.

This arrives just after I bought a very similar bike. I'm a little skeptical about that six speed, but seller says it is Fla Tagged. He's also fairly kind to himself, re the price; but still, tagged two smokers gotta be somewhat unusual . . . and on-the-fly mapchanges on a carbureted bike. Wow!

Umm, "duel carbs"? Do they fight for jetting rights? Might be good for 150, maybe.

Looks crowded in there, but here's the specs for an '85 XR200R.

http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...r200r%2084.htm

If they came with a 26mm Keihin, then this would have two 13mm carbs? Off a lawn mower?

Gawd, I do love craigslist.

Nope, two 26mm Keihin carbs. 83-87 Honda tried the idea (Yamaha did the same for like 84-89). On my old 600, the left side carb was just a normal one; operated both low and high speed. The second carb did not have any low speed circuits, just a gigantic main jet. That carb did nothing until a certain point, which you could dial in on the throttle linkage.

Believe it or not, the design worked. The smaller 200, not so much, because they came in way overweight (83-85 200s were 4 valve, big time overbuilt but also about 15 lbs. overweight). For the 350 and 600, you could feel the discernable pull when the second carb came on.

I swear up and down my old 86 would probably beat my 2000 in a flat out drag race. And, my 2000 has a big ass pumper now. Honda did something with the head on those and assume they had more aggressive head designs.

Good to hear some experience. Who knew two 26 Keihins would work on a lowly Two Hunnert.

Maybe I could turn it into an old farts hare scrambler.
