Clean the terminals, surprising how quick they dirty up.

Yeah cleaning the terminals is something I will be doing over the winter, but the cold made her crank over soooo slow, and then fart a few times, then crank again SLOOOWER. my little battery light was reading red after the first 10 seconds....I thought I was for sure going to have to hitch a ride with the wife, but thought I would give it one more try...and after taking all my gear off, she decided to finally fire. I want to add some 0w40 oil too, that rotella is like butter in there when it gets below zero degrees out. Princess Auto has a couple magnetic block heaters on sale now, maybe I will get the 200W one and stick to the side of my engine.

Greetings and salutations. You'll find that a lot of Kingston riders ride alone, but there is a strong bunch of riders who either ride together or know each other well that meet up at various places.

Tim Horton's on #2 near Centennial is one, the A&W on the truck stop on 38 highway near the 401 is another. I'm part of a large group of sportbike riders who also do a lot of back road bashing (but not much gravel) and play squash in the off months and there are a few regular "adventure" riders like Tim & Jim who also stop in and shoot the proverbial poop on a regular basis with us and the cruiser groups. There aren't a lot of social boundaries in the Kingston groups and whenever I feel like there is one, I like to park my sport bike right in the middle and go chew the fat.

Wow, just noticed that this was a huge thread. Oh boy (blush face). There's a low-traffic Kingston forum at http://www.kingstonriders.org/ and also a Facebook page or two, the main one being at https://www.facebook.com/groups/116386818381968/

This Saturday looks like it might be the official 'end of season' ride for me. I'm thinking to head up to Kaladar and do the skookamataskoopums rd for my finale....if anyone else is so inspired.

Last of the double digit weather, at least in my extended forecast.

(that's if my bike starts)

I'll be out again, likely. The tire on the Ape is completely roasted though, so it's sport biking only I guess. I'm not replacing it until I figure out if I'm trading the bike in or not. In a perfect world, I'd keep it.

Nice, winter is here! Hopefully the KLR starts and my tires keep me safe today!

Like a BOSS, that was a fun ride! I took the Cat trail to work and did some sliding around in the slush :)

not being a hunter myself I never know when hunting season ends - and I want to see Drif10 muscle that thing around some messy stuff - I heard all about it last weekend...

gs stamp - you mentioned kaladar - do you hit the dirt up there or just stick to the gravel. I would love to take the 41 at the airstrip over to the dam but I so far no one is taking me up on this...

anyone?

9am53 - saw Barbie's track across your lawn this morning in the snow and I felt like a pussy in my cage with the heated seats...
