Actually I was raggin' on Jeff for his play over on DDS.
But now that you've brought up the "same bike for tag and replacement' rule........

Those are the rulez for the 4 corners grab, not the regular tag game.

Well...I don't have any gold chains, and I'm not particularly furry, but I am going bald.

The joys of being a 40-something.

As far as kids are concerned, happily that wasn't an issue. While I do have kids...the spousal unit's Explorer is well suited for transportation of the offspring hither and yon.

Of course, that will probably be when I start to bald, have a hairy chest, and can afford to buy a gold rope chain.

.... but you can't bag a tag with a picture of a bike on a trailor or in the back of a truck either....

Got shot down on that before....

Don't feel bad...me too... and I run this joint.

Didn't do any riding this weekend but it looks like this weather is good for bike maintenance. Got the sprocket set and new rear on the bandit after mounting it backwards first done Saturday. Wasted a couple of hours dicking with a homemade manometer that was a total bust anyone want to loan me theirs?
The Connies' dogbone bushings, plugs, and oil filter are here and tires on the UPS truck for delivery. Once it's done guess I'll go tagging in the rain to work out any kinks before the trip on the 4th. How far do you need to ride in the rain to scuff-in new tires?
May even get around to dialing in the idle on the Husaberg.

Too bad I don't need to scuff in the bandit tires for the trip could kill two birds with one stone. I'll ride it over and sync one day your are working on the bikes.

However, I've reached a point in my life that I'm going to take a break from riding for a while or perhaps permanently. When I sat on my bike last time to go for a ride which has always brought a smile to my face and instead only filled me with apprehension, I knew it was time to hang up my riding gloves and helmet. It wasn't anything specific, I just don't love it anymore. I had a great time over the last 25 years and 300k miles on two wheels...but I think I'm off of motorcycles for good.

I'll watch from the sidelines and cheer for the new tags and places you FF's visit. To keep the clutter out of the thread (which I'm certainly guilty of ) feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd like. Otherwise...I don't want to hijack the thread any further.

All the best,

Well that sucks. I say that because after 20+ years of riding I had the same feeling and did the same thing. Then I went into scuba and worked up to cave/technical level, discovered I was burnt out on that and I really missed riding, now I'm back to motorcycles. Think I'll stay here. Let me know when you come back. We'll go for a ride.
