Yes, just relocated for protection i guess, think they have an oil cooler in the front also.

Pretty sure thats it under the headlight with a thermo parked behind it - cool eh... With it being that high youd need a big tank to catch the oil that drains when the motor isnt running?

That is one huge radiator tho - serious cooling ability.

Great work MM - never enough pics. Amazes me the ability of those riders pushing a heavy bike like that with such ease in those conditions. Pity there aren't any kicking around in the flesh to have a look at......

I have a query about this comment since I am planning on running a oil cooler on my project in a similar position.

1. the oil lines are attached at the top of the oil rad not the bottom as mine. Why?

2. Why do you need a oil catch tank to stop the oil draining to the bottom of the motor?

any advice would be appreciated.

Its a dry sumped motor - hopefully not all of the oil doesnt end up in the bottom of the motor otherwise your in trouble. Thats why when you do the oil change most of the oil is in the oil tank and only a little is behind the sump plug.
