I Love my 1150....
It helps me find the most interesting places. The bike just fits like a comfortable pair of slippers.

Like mine

I have an 04 GSA and I love it. I got it used with 34K on it. It surges a bit but I think as I get better with valve adjustments that will go away.

I forgot to mention...She looks good topless!
Translation: easy to work on.....

This was during my PIAA light install, the night before leaving for "Color in the Catskills" last October. My wife was torqued that I tore the bike apart before a 700 mile trip. Thanks to Jim's video the operation was painless!
The extra light really saved my tush on my first long distance ride home (at night down I 80 in Pa).

Did I mention that I love this bike?

I've only had mine since December '08 (purchased right here from an inmate), but I've put about 4k on her since my purchase (now sitting at 69k) and she runs like a top. I'll be riding the 2000 1150 on a long jaunt from Houston to British Columbia in July, and I'm looking forward to the trip.

I've added the Givi taller screen and the Givi top box. Bought a second set of cases and scored some of the wider lids, and today, UPS should be delivering my new-to-me Corbin saddle set. Yeah, I love this bike.

Try pre-loading the gear selector before clutching, if that doesn't do the trick then release the clutch lever a fraction whilst still pressing the gear pedal down, that should do the trick every time .

My Second 11fiddy

During out trip last fall.

Tore her apart this spring to check on the splines, and they looked perfect @ 36K, and even had lube still on them.

Changed the clutch (while I was there), and a few other things, nothing what I would call catastrophic. Love the R12 engine (wife has an R12R) but I just can't seem to give up my Pig.

See you goobs at WestFest.

If I start it in neutral with the side stand down I have to pull, release then pull the clutch in again to get it to go. No issue.

Love it

I really like my 04 1150GSA. Good looking, handles incredible, takes me where I want to go effortlessly. Still working on a comfortable long distance seat for a short guy. But love it!!

I found a 04 with 524 miles on it last September. I got it for $6200. I'll be riding this bike until it falls apart under me. She's got 12,000 miles on her now and I'm not gentle with her. Her days of sitting in a guys laundry room covered in curtains is OVER.
