BMW luggage locks

Any advice on how to replace a lock in the luggage....that's locked? Without a key.

Our R1200R was stolen. The also broke into the house and stole paperwork and all the back up keys. They didn't steal the hard bags. (Maybe they don't like to travel far.)

In any event...my local dealer can't get a key because the insurance company now owns the bike.

Advice?

Slide hammer, and a drill. Should be simple the locks are not that good.

Go show it to Pete.

For removing lock cylinders of this type, our service mgr has a hand-cut tool made from a found object; a discarded hacksaw blade. Works in five seconds without damage; several staff members have become proficient at using it. Most Motorrad svc mgrs will have made the same sort of tool.
