R100GS rear wheel spacer ring missing??
I just did the first tire change on the old airhead and found no spacer ring between the rear wheel and final drive mating surface. Can anybody confirm there should be a rear wheel spacer ring on a 95 R100GS? If so, would there be any legit reason for someone to have removed it?? Thanks!!

Not all R100GS's use the ring...It was installed at the factory on those bikes that needed additional spacing.
I've pulled the rear wheel on three R100s in the last six months and none of them had the ring, including my own '92. Hope this helps. Cheers, Jorge

Thanks Jorge. I just got back from the BMW shop and they found no spacer on the parts list for the R100GS. They also said it doesnt have one stock but some people add a spacer to run wider street tires. I cant recall fershure if my last R100 had one or not.
