Can you still get...

Can you still get Metzeler Tourances in Aus?

The old ones not the EXP or Next.

I'm trying to find a good in betweener for my S10 and I'm almost thinking of going with Scorpion Trails or EXPs again.

Not interested in TKC or K60s but a Tourance or Anakee 2 style. Of which they all seem to be finished.

Cheers,
Pilotuh1b

So is it a hunt or can dealers still get them in? I'm assuming they're discontinued?

I bought a set 2 weeks ago from BM Motorcycles @ Ringwood. They didn't say anything about them being discontinued. There didn't seem to be any issue about shortage or unavailability.
Mind you I was after a set of Anakee 2, which are discontinued and replaced by Anakee 3.

No, not discontinued.

I just spoke to a very helpful and knowledgeable chap at the importers. He said the Tourance will continue to be available alongside the new Tourance Next (which replaced the Exp). They are intended for different usage. (My summary)

The Karoo T however has (or will) be discontinued and replaced by the new Karoo 3

Good. Sounds like metzeler is a tyre company who knows their target market. The anakee 2 is nothing like the anakee 3. But replacing the EXP with the Next is a like for like move.

Although, if the Tourances don't work, I'd go for something else over the Nexts. Maybe the scorpion trails, they were great on the tiger.

Thanks for he feedback,

Google anakee 3, they're pretty identifiable.

You've never tried Yokohama motorcycle tyres then... gave any road that cold wet feeling.... on warm dry sunny days! Evil evil things...
