X Challenge Fly Screen

I made one of these screens for myself, then was asked to make a few more for other members.

Attached using velcro (included) they can be easily removed for off-road use but I ride dirt with mine in place. They shift winblast upwards to just below neckline, do not create turbulence and, for me, do not increase wind noise.

I currently have 3 screens unclaimed and am happy to make some more if there is a demand.

Price 15 plus shipping
UK 2
Europe 3
US 4
Anywhere else, I'll need to check rates.

Jester! Great idea and price...Very interested...but wanted to ask one thing: can you make a lip on the top a la F650GS Dakar pre-2003? I'm 6'3" and would love something like that...

Lemme know...

Cheers,
Nadim

Distance no object. Fortunately the screens are very light and shipping to US is not expensive, I know from experience.

In answer to your questions:
Unfortunately I can't create a curled over lip lilke on the f650 screen. The screens I am making now do have a very slight flip to them but not curling right back like the dakar screens.

I could make the screen a bit taller but to be effective it would need a different mounting system. When I first made my screen it was a bit taller, with the flip at the top edge but it would get pushed back towards me when riding fast. I trimmed it down a bit and this stopped, as did the wind noise from the first version. For a taller screen to be effective it would need to be much steeper to push the wind over the rider's helmet, directing wind at the helmet is just too noisy for comfort.

However, I am 6'1" and am very happy with the screen I have fitted. I also have a long back rather than long legs so sitting on the bike we may be quite similar.

I regularly have mine above that, it stays put without any problems. You do notice the wind at that speed but it is definitely better than without.

Could be as simple as utilizing 3M interloc style instead of velcro.

This stuff is very strong, and sort of snaps together.

For reference Goode waterski uses this stuff to mount their hardshell waterski binders. It pops free with hard impact but holds well during use.

Thanks for the suggestion. The velcro I am using looks very similar to that. They actually quote a force of 7kg/50mm to pull it apart. While the velcro does allow a very small amount of movement, the issue is really with the amount of force the headlight shield can tolerate before it starts to flex.

Can't wait to get mine! 9 day trip as of the 6th of June and IT SHALL BE PUT TO USE!

I've done the Slip streamer, the KTM and now this...hoping this will outperform all for mountability and performance.

Cheers,
Nadim
