East coast Dune riding

I'm interested in riding my not-so-road-legal DRZ400 in some dunes. Probably seen Dakar one too many times. Anyone know about any riding areas in NC or SC?

Only legal thing that comes to mind is Duck, NC. Not a whole lot of big dunes, but sandy hills and beach.

This isn't sand dunes but it is racing in the sand. The terrain in this part of SC is all sand.

It's in SC and spoke to a guy who raced it this year, sounds cool think I'll give it a shot next year.
