Dirt Roads around San Luis Obispo, CA

I will be spending three days in San Luis Obispo area on my 990 Adv. Looking for suggestions for local rides that would consist of some fire roads, pavement and a winery each day.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

All the good stuff is private. You should have ridden the Cal Poly Dual Sport ride, they get permission for once a year.

Countdown,

Looks like I just missed riding with Pinguins.

Is Los Padres National Forest all gated without access? That would be a bummer.

The pozo lapanza ohv area seems okay. I don't know much about it (was only there once), but it's reasonably sized. I'm actually headed down there this weekend to camp and engage in truck-foolery.

It's east of SLO off 58--which, btw, is a pretty fun road coming up from the oil fields in the central valley.

On your 990 the OHV trails might be too much, then again I have never gone single tracking there.
Pozo road turns to dirt and goes all the way to Carrizo Plains. Take Elkhorn south to Las Padres and enjoy.

Looks like I will be doing Pozo for sure.

Thank you for all the input.
