UNlowering a 1999 F650 Strada SE? Can it be done?
I have a line on a 1999 F650 SE for a fair price. This one has been lowered. I have sat on one that has been lowered before and found it too low for comfort. Being a newbie to F650s is it possible to undo the lowering myself or is it something permanent that I cannot undo? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Long time lurker ready to join into the fray.

Yes, it can be done. The rear end components are the same for both the ST & the Fundo.
To raise it you will need new linkage plates and remove the spacer on the spring. Then drop the forks. A stock side & center stand will be needed as well. Or have yours extended. The ST has an 18" front wheel vs. the 19" on the Funduro so it will be a bit lower.

Thanks for the reply Scotty. Are these mods you mention expensive enough to modify my offer?
A Funduro should be fun right? |
