I'm not asking to flat foot the bike. BMW advertises that its low seat brings the height to 33.5 inches. I'd be happy just to retain that height. How high is the Renazco "low" seat?
Is it every bit as comfy as the normal Renazco seat? I'm asking because presumably there is less foam used. Maybe some gel inserts could help.
My inseam is around 28-29". With the low BMW factory seat, I could get the balls of both feet down. Now I get a single foot down and slide off the side of the seat. It is higher than the factory low, but SO much more comfortable. I'll gladly take the trade-off.

The low seat that BMW offers is the absolute lowest you can go without sacrificing anymore comfort. Any lower and your pretty much sitting on the seat pan. We make improvements to the BMW low seat to gain better ground reach using our own methods while retaining comfort.

All is relative to you the rider, this is where weight to inseam ratios come to play. A rider that outweighs the normal inseam ratio is at a disadvantage as much as a rider that is lighter in weight to hardly effect suspension compression.

The seat pictured below pretty much sums up how low to expect a low seat from Renazco, anything lower then that and it's just a seat cover over the seat pan.
For those with a shorter inseam and expect to flat foot this bike you'll need to do suspension work. Nothing wrong with lowering these bikes in fact depending on who your using for suspension work you'll probably gain better handling.

What materials were used on the sides and top of that seat in the picture? Looks really nice!

Matte black vinyl on top, black pigskin vinyl on sides. Yeah, I like it too

The seat gets a little hard the first 30 minutes of riding when close to freezing temps......
It is still very comfy..... When asked.... James explained that's the way temperature foam gets it's shape when seated.....
He is a great guy to work with..... I'd buy again..... I bought 1 seat..... And 3 pipes from him.....

Oh' after 6 months your internet finally works, progress at last
We have a seat here with no name on it and was shipped in a shoebox size box, looks like a taco now
A tracking number we've been asking you for claims the mystery seat.

The forums isn't the best place to get a hold of me.

Hey James, my exhaust came in ONE day. Ordered it Tuesday, got it Wednesday. You said that I might get it Wednesday, but I thought you were kidding. Amazing. Can't wait to get my seat. Hopefully next week....... You and Sonia have been great to work with. Eric

Just got my second seat from James. The suede, and temp viscous foam was a bit hard for me. I do beleive this was mostly in part because of the thick non conforming suede leather. Or perhaps it was/is just me..... Anyway, James is fantastic in customer service, and I now have my second Renasco seat. I will say this though..... Nothing holds your butt in place like suede... I really like that.

Now....where to mount the suede.......
