Renazco Seat for F800GS - A photo comparison/review - Page 2

Waiting list is all the way until November!

If any one has a link for a stock seat, can you please pass it my way. I can't have my bike down (w/o a seat) for the week or so it would take.
I would be much more comfortable sending another seat.
I could send my stocker back to Renazco for a core if that would help some 800 owners out.

I'll still probably look into picking one up/getting in the queue. Also might be looking to pick up another stock seat to send if some become available (e.g. damaged, etc). That Renazco looks swell though.

After having put some miles on the new seat, all I can say is HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!

What an improvement.

'Nuf said!!! It is worth the cost and well worth the wait!!!!!!!

This may be a stupid question, but were you uncomfortable/in pain on the stock seat? (I am)

I was fine up to about 100 - 125 miles. After this, the butt squirm became very apparent and hot spots would develop. All of this is now gone.

Yes, the seat is an enormous improvement. There is a plushness about the way the seat feels. It is supportive across the width of my backside and no longer creates hot spots. A truly worthy improvement.

I hope to have a couple thousand mile ride tale for the new seat within the next 2 months. Trying to sort some details so I should be able to give even more then. For now though, it is fantastic and I only expect it to get better.

Lucky bastids. I should have mine ..... in November? I don't suppose purchasing a stocker to send in would accelerate the turn-around any ... just make the 1-2 week downtime more manageable. Maybe a note from my proctologist would bump me up the list?

It's been about a month, I would love to know how things are progressing with the seat. The stock is pretty good when I ride alone, but with a pillion I can't move around as much and I'm toast after an hour or so.

Can't comment on anything 2up as I have never 2up ridden on the GS. My wife has her own F650GS (twin) and we 2up on the K1300GT.

As for the seat, it keeps getting better and better. It appears that it is breaking in and is just becoming more comfortable all the time as a result. Done some off-road as well and it is great there.

I'll continue to update but, if it continues as it has to date, this is the best seat I've had on a bike, excepting the seat on my K1300GT.

Still good? I have an 09 G650GS and love the bike, but hate the seat. It is my daily commuter (97 mile round trip....gotta love that 60MPG!), so comfort is important. If anyone else has any updates on the Renazco, I would appreciate it. $400 to make my daily ride more comfortable is a no-brainer! I am 6' and between 205 and 195...depending on my schedule/gym vists. Any further info on 'new finds' is also appreciated.
