Yessir!! I wouldn't miss that one for the world. I'm hoping to do the Silver Canyon bit this year, as my hip is fully healed and ready to go. Plus, I'm guessing that Gillafunk will do it, and that's gotta be good for some laughs.
My wife rode her KLR250 all the way to WARP and back, a total of 883 miles, and she spent the entire weekend giving Kiel crap about him parking his truck at your place and riding in.

Did the PCV mod awhile back. Haven't seen any real improvement.

Judging by my rear fender, I've got worn rings and cylinder issues.

1988 with 11,000 original miles - runs strong, but it does smoke a bit on startup - maybe rings? valve guides? Had valves adjusted last year. Seems like it has good compression and makes good power. Has been rejetted.

I got about 75k miles on my travel bike, an 06' model. Installed the 685 kit at 30k. (it started using oil, overheated, my fault)
At 50k took the forks apart, teflon bushings nearly completely wiped out.
I hear there are few guys around with well over 100k on their bikes. I'll probably hit 100k later this year! The suspension will be due for another overhaul at that time I reckon.
EverReady bunnies they be!

I gave my old one to my brother 8 years ago with 85K on it. He is still riding it.

95 with 32k on it. Need to do the doo no clue if it was done.
only put 1000 miles on it so far but no noticeable oil use after 1000 miles.

Good?!

From mile one the KLR is barely adequate.

Mine was barely adequate for 35,000 miles until I sold it.

I bought my 640A from a guy that had a KLR. He sold his KLR to buy the 640. Said he sod it with 62k miles on it. He said that he would have rode it longer, but wanted to try something else. There is no substitute for anal retentive maintenance.

23,000

23,000 on mine. It doe not use any between oil changes. I have done
The doo and most other mods. Good thread on this at KLR net, many guys
Over there have 80,000. Oil changes at 2000 mi. Chech valves every
10,000. Keep up on other maintenance, don't cruise over 5000rpm,
Seems to be the trick.
