Garmin SD card compatibility
I have a 2 GB card which works well with my Garmin 450. However, I bought a 4 GB card and when I put it in my 450 attatched to the computer, the computer does not recognize the drive.
Will a 4 GB SD card work in a Zumo 450 or is it possible I just got a bad card? |

Sdhc?
If your card is SDHC check to see if your computer can recognize it on it's own. Digital cameras and computers that are a couple of years old will not recognize the HC models of SD cards. Even an USB SD card reader will not read it unless it specifically states it will read SDHC.

I updated the firmware from Garmin and yes, it recognized the card.
Guess I had pretty old firmware as I understand the 450 has been recognizing the 4 and 8 GB cards for at least a year. |
