This was posted in JoMomma originally, but I wanted to share with y'all. It seems like Continental is recalling a few tires...

Her Supah, are your sumo tires listed?

Good race weekend at Talladega

Plenty of weather related drama. Not having spare wheels is a big issue. I own a odd ball GSXR that's hard to find used parts for. After this weekend I'm not to picky about the price anymore just need a set of wheels to mount rains on.

Thanks to fantastic tire swapping work by my tire guy I did pull a win off in my A superstock race. Dominated the field and ran some fast times on the rains in fact quite a few novice racers would be happy with my rain times. 2nd race Senior Superbike I laid down my fastest lap ever there in the dry on slicks at 1:00.80 and took 2nd place. 3rd race the bottom fell out again and wet the track but I had no time to swap to rains so I went out on slicks just to collect points. Managed a disappointing 3rd with only 3 experts that were brave enough to grid up. I was on slicks and it was scary but I got 15 points which is a win to me right now.

Now I'm off to have surgery on my left wrist to have a plate removed and no racing or riding until the Wera Grand National Finals at barber oct 23-26. I hope to be healthy by then and turn up my game one more time.

More wood for the wood pile.

Would anyone like to "camp" here next weekend? or so

It's kinda halfway between here and Jackson. Just a spot from which to explore upper desoto and surrounds. Could keep it paved or mixed. Doesn't matter, just a brief getaway. I've stayed there before, it's an ok location to ride from. Too dang hot to actually camp. If anyone is interested , I'll book a room or two. There's an attached grill and a diner.

and fuel near there.

Nano, you can just call me "Supah, Jr"... I haven't cranked my bike in over a month.

I guess it is good that my company and work is taking off, but sad that I haven't ridden in weeks!!!!

I'm not going anywhere until those boxes are packed and put in storage or in a moving van...

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I don't have Sumo's though. I checked my Conti front wheel anyway and it is not a part of any recall.
