If anyone is interested in riding tomorrow, I will be at Heart and Soul for breakfast at 7:00 and leaving from there. This ride will mostly be small country asphalt with the occasional gravel road.

I have a dr 650 and really enjoy it. Broke it down last week to make some adjustments; replaced the oil and spark plugs. Made a version 1 of a windshield for the bike. I am looking into building a saddle tank with polyurethane as my next project. It's just really fun tooling on the bike. !!

update on Spillway Road Motorcycle wreck from Friday...

http://www.thereznews.com/2012/06/mo...st-update.html

Quote:
Last Friday a motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a truck on Spillway Road. (story/photos here).

A reader sent us an update on the injured man and asked that we share the following information.

James Bennett and his family
The motorcyclist injured last Friday is Senior Master Sgt. James "Bucket" Bennett, a reservoir area resident and a Loadmaster with the 172nd Airlift Wing of the Mississippi Air National Guard.

The accident left him with multiple injuries including a broken femur and wrist - all but 3 ribs were broken and he sustained several facial fractures.

He was conscious when he arrived at the ER and able to give his name and describe what happened.

His wrist has been set and he underwent surgery to repair the broken femur. He has been sedated since the accident and connected to a ventilator. But - the good news is there is no spinal, brain or organ damage.
You Can Help The Family

An account at Regions Bank has been established to help James and his family.

To contribute stop by any Regions branch and make a donation in the name of James W. Bennett.

Maybe I'll see one at Barber Motorsports Park tomorrow at the AMA races, Triumph is the sponsor this year and has a huge display on hand.

Not sure it could handle River Road at Big Bend like my last Trophy did.

I hate that it looks like a GoldWing front fairing on a BMW. Have to take points away for poor styling. But who knows. It may look better in person.

Roy, if you see one, take a bunch of pics from different angles.
