I did ride the Old Port Gibson Rd. to Port Gibson, to HWY 61. Then I went on across to Grand Gulf, got a few pics, and on around to The Grand Gulf Park. Didn't go in, figured would do that at a later date.
Rode on into town and ate lunch at Sonic. Not many places to chose from, anywhere in Port Gobson. Then rode around and took in a bit of history, before heading back up the Trace. Stopped at all the significant markers, boring! This was deffinately a low traffic area, but very boring. There were endless possibilties off the raodway! It was tepmting, but as a law abiding citizen, I chose to stay on the roadway.
Rode on into Raymond and got a pic of the Courthose, and on out to the Raymond airport, before heading home.
Still undecided about today, but I am about to head out anyway.

Next time go south of P.G. to Lorman. Just a few miles. Eat at the Old Country Store. Great buffet of good ole southern food. You might need a nap after wards.

Several years ago, I had visited the Lorman store. I didnt remember they served a buffet.

They serve fried chicken, the best in the south according to some people. It was featured in the Feasting on Asphalt show on the food network a while back. Rode down there a few months ago myself and did indeed feel like spending a few hours in a hammock after eating. Very, very good food with a nice atmosphere. And along those same lines, how about a Thursday night get-together someplace like a mexican restaurant where there's an outdoor patio and unlimited chips and dip. (Not to mention margaritas) Anyone up for that?

If I can get rid of this ear infection so I can ride straight, I'll be there.

Not sure about patio seating with 100 degree temps though.

I think Thursdays maybe bike night at Buffalo Wild Wings. That might be a good starting point.

My 2 cents on the eat and meet topic.

I vote for Buffalo Wild Wings (lake harbor drive location) bike nite thursday. I am usually there by 7 pm but may be later due to the extreme heat.

I could probably make it there this Thursday. Might be on the Ducati instead of the BMW though. Depends on what I've been riding already that day.
