Yep, I have been out there solo a few times, cracked the lower faring on my Triumph Trophy 1200 on River Road once. The deep sand was something too. Might not want to take the Tenere.

Continued west until I hit 49 then east on some more dirt roads until I hit north Livingston. Crusaded around the dump and had forgotten about the ever burning flame. Pretty cool view if you can handle the smell.

Make sure you get reservations, even for camping, if you're staying in the park.

Kickstand switch knocking the bike down ------only under full load and pulling higher rpms -
took it over to birmingham BMW tech scratched his head for a while doing basically the same testing that DQ and I did---computer showing no signs of the troubles----

finally after checking all realys and switches he got to the kickstand switch and unplugged it ---Low and Behold it fell apart in his hand and and on the floor---seems that I might have thrown something up and broke it ----Maybe BW did it when he loaded it on the trailer--=NOT---repalced it with new one and was shown how to bypass it should it ever happen out in the woods---not and easy thing but can be done

AGGREIVATING LITTLE DINKY SWITCH-----

But all is well I think just need a real rider for the bike

THe group over around Birmingham was having a gymkhana day in the parking lot next to BMW --got a few really good riders in that bunch---

Here is a interesting site for hurricane watching
http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/conditions.php

Until 2010 this place held the record for the highest recorded wind speed at 230+mph!
